We are very excited for one of the most important days to come and cannot wait to celebrate with you in Helsinki. Thank you for being in our lives and being part of such a special moment.
We compiled some information regarding our wedding, but please ask if you have any questions!

128 days

until we say "I do"!

Our Story

Our story started back in 2018, in a student city in central Finland called Jyväskylä (don't ask how to pronounce it).

We developed a friendship that led to us to falling in love. We started officially dating 8 years ago and the rest is history. We've been living in Helsinki for about 6 years and are very grateful for the family we have together.

Despite growing up on different sides of the world, we connected through our similarities and understood each other's sense of humor. Everything just clicked.

Venue

Särkänlinna

Our wedding will be in the garden of Särkänlinna, located on Särkkä island. It is an island off Kaivopuisto Park in Helsinki and is part of the Suomenlinna UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The wedding reception will be in the Särkänlinna restaurant, located in the same island.

Connecting ferry

To get to the island you need to go by ferry. We will take care of all the transportation fees to and from the island, so don't worry about those. It is also possible to come in your own boat, but please let us know so we can inform the restaurant.
The ferry leaves Kaivopuisto, by cafe Ursula, every 30 minutes (except at 14:30). Lift the wooden call sign to call the ferry. The ride takes around 7 minutes.
Be at the pier at 15:30, so you make it on time for our wedding ceremony!

Dress Code

The dress code will be summer formal and elegant: simple yet beautiful.
We would like everyone to wear what they feel comfortable wearing, but we hope you don't wear any white or shades of colours that are too light.
The bridal party will wear shades of blue. The colors of the wedding will be blue, golden accents and champagne colours.
Here's a link to a Pinterest board we created, in case you need some inspiration.

Getting around

Our wedding will take place in Helsinki, Finland.
We truly love this city, especially during summer! Here are some ways to get around the city while you're here.

Public transport

Helsinki has a very effective transportation system. Use it if you can!
Download the HSL app on your phone and you can see the best options to get around town. You will get suggestions to use the bus, tram, metro or train depending on where you are and your destination.
Make sure you have a ticket to avoid getting a fine! You can buy them from the app.

Taxi

If you want to share a taxi ride with other people or you think that taking a taxi will be easier for you, there are a few apps to order taxis from.
For us, Uber and Bolt are the most reliable. The price might vary based on the time of the day.

PLACES TO EAT

We love good food. Here are some of our favorite spots that you might want to check out:
Lie Mi,
Bastard Burgers,
Bisou Bisou,
Fisken på disken,
Lazy Fox,
Cafe Regatta,
Goose Pasta Bar,
Tacoya,
Cafe Eckberg,
Oishi 18,
Cafe Birgitta,
Löyly.

PLACES TO STAY

We would love to accommodate all of you coming from abroad in our home, but we know it's not possible.
The Scandic hotels have several locations downtown if you're looking for a hotel.
Some Airbnbs might be good, but feel free to ask us about the area so you don't end up in an isolated neighbourhood.
Try to stay within public transport lines. We recommend having a tram or metro line nearby!

Wedding gift

The most important gift you can give us is your presence.
We won't have a wedding registry, but if you wish to contribute towards our honeymoon, we appreciate it.

MobilePay

If you live in Finland, you can send your gift through MobilePay by clicking the button below.
